Orkut is better for me.

Facebook is not bad but it can't beat orkut.

Facebook is awesome. . . There are so many applications on facebook unlike Orkut. You have fan page, groups, cause page. Facebook rules... Wall postings, updates, tags, farmville and many more. I 'm a big fan of Apple products and i get all the updates about Apple Macs on Facebook. All i had to do was join the fan page.. good or bad depends on how u use it, eveything has its good and bad. sometimes good for one may be bad for the other, one man food is another mans poison.Its better to know ppl you can see than talk to a lot of ghosts who fake online.

I would say Face book is a good social site to connect with family out of state Friends during the summer or winter. Facebook is pretty safe in that you can control the information you put up there, and control who in particular can see your information. There are privacy controls.
